Housing
The Granly Trust today, consists of five independent house units with a total of 26 residents. Every resident has their own living unit with cooking facilities and bathroom, adjacent to a communal room with living room and kitchen. Experience shows that the shared rooms are used often and the residents enjoy the community life.
The houses are designed for communal living. In all five living communities, the meals are shared together as a group. As much as possible, biological or biological-dynamical ingredients are being used.
Most residents have a ‘house-day’ once every week during which they clean the house and help with the preparation of the meals.
The residents know each other well. The oldest of them have been living together for over 60 years.
